We are active in facility management and since we have the ambition to grow in the short term, we were looking for an IT partner who could not only support us in this but also proactively guide us. That is how we ended up at CDM ICT. After the first exploratory discussions, it was decided to upgrade our Office 365 platform to Microsoft 365. This way we can focus on our core business without any worries while they ensure that we can work together more productively and securely. All devices (Windows laptops, Macbooks, iPhones, Android smartphones) are centrally managed from the cloud and must meet imposed security requirements (e.g. up-to-date antivirus, recent OS, PIN code or biometrics for access to mail or data, encryption of data). A labeling system was also set up so that we can perfectly control who has access to which documents and for how long. In this way, sensitive and PII (personal identifiable data) data cannot just leave the company. In addition, Defender for Office 365 watches over attachments and links in emails. If these are infected, they are automatically neutralized. Files that we store in Onedrive, Sharepoint and Teams are also under the watchful eye of Defender.
We wanted to streamline the IT for the group at home and abroad so that the whole could work in a more harmonized and more efficient way.
Our IT partner CDM ICT initially recommended Office365 so that mail and agenda would be perfectly synchronized on all devices.
After its implementation, the GDPR issue was addressed by upgrading to Microsoft365. On the one hand, this means that we have the latest version of Windows10 and Office on all devices, so that outdated software no longer poses a threat. On the other hand, all devices are centrally managed from the cloud, which enables us to roll out an almost perfect security policy. All potential elements of danger have been countered: the users, the apps, the devices and the data itself. We can delete company data remotely and through labels we can indicate what may/should be done with certain files. This system also offers us the possibility to delete all data of a specific customer within our MS365 environment at the touch of a button. As a result, we also comply with the requirements of GDPR.
Thanks to the hybrid setup of our network and SSO, we can now log in with the same password on our devices and in Office365, which increases the ease of use.
Finally, an ingenious backup system was also rolled out in which we can restore both mails at the mail level and data from SharePoint perfectly and easily.
In short, productivity, safety and peace of mind are guaranteed.
We were looking for a way to work together more efficiently with our school. I am thinking of sharing documents and calendars. CDM ICT recommended Office365 for mail and calendar and Onedrive for Business for sharing documents. It is a real pleasure to work in this way because all emails, calendars, contacts and documents are always available on all devices (PC, laptop, smartphone) of everyone.
We called on CDM ICT because our mailboxes were at the limit and we couldn't work remotely. Now we use Microsoft 365 (with mailboxes of 50GB) and Azure.
As a result, we no longer have to come to the office in the morning to pick up our folders with customer records. We can immediately view the plans on site and make changes if necessary.
Whenever the secretary makes a change to my calendar, it is immediately synced across my PC and iPad.
Our data is securely stored every night via a backup in the cloud. Whatever happens, we can always get started.
